Tim Maiden, Lead Podiatrist
Timothy Maiden is the lead podiatrist with The Foot Practice in Orchard Road and a consulting podiatrist at Raffles Rehabilitation Centre in Raffles Hospital, Singapore.
Tim’s vision is to modernise podiatric care in Singapore. By integrating the latest technology into his clinical practice, Tim has developed effective treatment plans to correct lower limb function and overall body movement. His goal is to help patients move better and enhance athletes’ sports performance.
Tim received his podiatry degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. With more than a decade of experience, Tim assesses lower-limb biomechanics and identifies the root causes of misalignments that contribute to pain and injuries. With data-driven clinical insights, Tim provides quantifiable clinical recommendations to adjust training programmes and rectify gait issues that can improve sports performance.
Tim moved to Singapore in 2011, working at Tan Tock Seng Hospital before joining The Foot Practice. He has worked in Sichuan as part of a group of medical volunteers assisting in villages with Hansen’s disease. He regularly visits India, where he assists in managing people with diabetes and lymphedema in Kerala, Telangana, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar. For all this work, both overseas and in Singapore, Tim has received the Cosyfeet Podiatry Award.
A keen sportsman, Tim is an active runner, cyclist, and golfer with a single-figure handicap. He has participated in triathlons, marathons and other races. These days, you can often see him cycling the ECPCN trail towards downtown or running in East Coast Park.
